Google Reader - A RSS Reader

I don’t know how widespread Google’s RSS reader is. But this is the first time I see it, that’s for sure. I first stumbled upon it when I checked my websites stats a few days ago. I had gotten some hits from a site called http://www.google.com/reader/lens/. So I went to check that site out. And for my surprise it was a very good-looking RSS reader. The RSS reader is called “Google Reader”, ha ha, so nifty.

The interface is similar to Google’s Gmail, but much cooler! I just wish Google would allow us to choose between the current Gmail interface and Google Reader’s interface. I mean, the Google Reader interface when you are browsing through all the posts you have subscribed for is really enjoyable and easy to use. And a plus for the keyboard shortcuts of course.

But of course there are some problems with the RSS reader. It isn’t so easy to add a feed from a blog or a website. It took me a while before I figured it all out. And I think you should be able to change the size of the texts. But, it’s still in BETA so I can’t yell at them that hard.

Well it’s a really good RSS-reader that I would use if I didn’t already use the built-in RSS reader in Opera.
