My ideas on how Clicksor could be improved

Posted by Simon on December 9th, 2006 in Clicksor, Opinion
Clicksor is not the best publisher network around anymore (has it ever been?). But it does work and they do pay. Here are some of my ideas on how Clicksor could improve their service for us publishers.

Their online forum should be cleaned up. If you take a look at the forum now it’s inactive and full of spammers. Not a good place to show for new publishers and advertisers.
Yesup is the company behind several different sites, such as: Clicksor, Yes Advertising and Popinads. These sites should all be integrated into one: Clicksor.
One of Clicksors biggest problem is the lack of advertisers. They should allow their publishers to spend as little as $1 on advertising. Now you can as an publisher transfer money that you have generated thrue Clicksor from your publisher account to your advertising account. But you have to spend more than $10 before you can start an advertising campaign.
Their “Inline Text Link” ads really annoys me. I have asked my “Account Manager” that she would stop that feature on my sites but it hasn’t been succesful and sometimes I still get these ads on my different sites and blogs. They should either delete that feature or make it work properly.
I would like to be allowed to have up to 3 banners on one page.

Okey, that’s all I can think of right now. If you got any other ideas or feel I am completely wrong please post a comment.

    Hey Simon

My name is Lindsay, and I am the new Marketing Manager for Clicksor. I was super happy to come across your site while reviewing your comments in our recent survey. I wanted to say thanks for posting our new features coming in 2007, and of course giving us some feedback on how you feel we can improve. Good news is we really are trying to make things the best they can be.
I thought I should take a minute and provide some responses to your improvement suggestions…

The online forum is being reviewed, and a clean-up will absolutely take place! We know it isn’t a great way to show ourselves to the inet world. We have been concentrating on other aspects of improvement for a while, but this is something we will take care of!

You are very right, Yesup does have a lot of different sites including paypopup, popinads, and YesAdvertising. We are slowly weaning advertisers away from those sites and pushing them towards Clicksor. Advertisers want content matched ads (as do publishers) and that is what Clicksor does.

The inline text ads can be removed by your account manager. You should never have a problem getting them removed. If it remains a problem, please contact me personally and I will make sure it gets done immediately.

I am checking into the three banner thing, I will see what we can do!

Ok, so not everything can be teddy bears and ice cream! We can’t fix it all, then we would be perfect, and poor Google would have to lay off so many hard working employees! Nobody wants that!

    So here is the bad….
We cannot change the $10 minimum deposit for publishers to transfer over to the advertising area. As it stands it is already half as much as advertisers need to start a campaign. The reason for it is the work we do here to manage campaigns. It is quite a bit of work for our account reps, and they tell us the minimum they will manage for is $10.

Well that about sums it up! I hope the answers were helpful for you, and of course your loyal blog readers. Stay tuned to the monthly newsletter (also new) for more updates on how we are improving to serve you better.

    Oh money money money…
We have a price increase starting Jan 5, 2007 for our CPV campaigns. This means rev share will also increase for publishers. A little more money never hurts.

Thank-you again for being a loyal publisher, and keeping people updated through your blog. We really appreciate the efforts!
