The future of AdBrite
Since the launch of AdBriteForum.com I’ve been talking with a lot of people that use or not use AdBrite (for various reasons) about the future of AdBrite. So what have we come up with then you might ask? Well no one can ever be sure about anything. But here are some thoughts that have popped up.
AdBrite’s mobile marketplace will probably not be a good success. If they even launch it! I don’t think there will be any special ad market for mobiles in a few years. Just look at the new Apple phone, it uses a real web browser (Safari) to show websites in the email. It will show the website computer users will see and show the ads computer users will see. No need for any “special” mobile ads then. Until mobiles get bigger screens and real browsers then I won’t think that the use of the mobile WAP net etc will grow any bigger that it will be worth to place ads on the mobile sites.
AdBrite must go contextual in the future. A lot of publishers and advertisers think that AdBrite would become even better if it worked like Google AdSense. And I completely agree. When AdBrite only used the ordinary text links (that you can see in the right sidebar of this blog or right under this article) their marketplace system worked. But as they grow bigger and now also offer banners and interstitial ads that system doesn’t really work as good as before. Now you often hear advertisers that complain that publisher doesn’t approve their ads in time or that they are completely inactive. Now when Google AdSense allows you to run other contextual programs side by side with your AdSense ads this is the way to go.
Many users and non-users also complain that AdBrite should offer other payment options, such as PayPal. If not they should at least lower the weeks they have to wait until AdBrite sends the check. Today’s 60 days waiting is just too much.
What are your thoughts about AdBrite’s future? The discussions continue over at the AdBrite Forum as well as on this blog.

AdBrite has a lot of plus points, but with just a few small changes like you mentioned, they would make a lot of people happy very quick. Paypal is a massive plus point and also getting your money quicker from AdBrite would be another way forward.

Hi Simon. I am the founder of Trendirama.com, a community of online amateur writers. We write about the future of everything. I would like to invite you to write an article on our website, perhaps based on what you are mentioning here. Maybe you can write “The future of Adbrite or the Future of Affiliate Programs”? It is up to you, you choose the subject.
You can even re-use some of what you’ve written here, in the last part of the article, “your view and comments”. That would save you time and still be interesting for readers.
Look forward to hearing from you
Best regards
Javier Marti
