PayPerPost.com created a lot of buzz in the blog world when it was released. If you don’t know what it is here is a very short explanation: PayPerPost or PPP as it might be called on a blogs is actually an online advertising company that pay you as a publisher and blogger write blog posts about something that their advertisers want. It can be all from pet related stories to IP phones and websites. In fewer words: You get paid per blog post and advertisers can increase site traffic via your blog post.

Now PayPerPost is planning on introducing “some big news in the near future”. So what can these “big news” be all about? Well a rumour wouldn’t be called a rumour if it wasn’t one. Personally I have no idea what they are planning on releasing but here are some of my ideas that I would think would make sense (remember that you heard it from me first if it all turns out to be true :P):

PayPerPodcast
At the moment PayPerPost is only accepting blog posts. Something that would be possible and really interesting and useful would be if they started accepting podcasts. Ordinary blogs are so ordinary nowadays and podcasts is just so web 2.0. This would also be a great possibility to earn some real money for podcasters.

PayPerVideo
This would be something similar to the PayPerPodcast but for video bloggers. I do think that it’s more possible that the podcast thing will turn out to be one of the “big news”. This video area is still too young. Maybe we will see something like this in a year or two.
