IDrive-E - Free and Secured Online Backups

Posted by Simon on June 17th, 2007 in Softwares and Tools | No Comments

IDrive-EA hard drive crash or a computer virus can easily and without warning delete all the files on your computer. You can get a hard drive crash on your brand new PC or Mac. And now computer is safe against those awful viruses. But how can you easily and safely do backups of your most important files? One way is to burn everything down to CD’s or DVD’s. But you can easily scratch a CD or DVD making it useless. Saving your backups online is a great way to be sure that you always will have access to your files if something happens.

IDrive.com offers just this thing. They offer two backup versions, one where you can store unlimited backups and a free 2 GB version. The unlimited backup version only costs $49.50, per year.

IDrive-E offers some of the best features among Online Backup sites. For example they have no limit on the upload and download size. They will notify you on the status of scheduled backups. IDrive-E even has a Windows Explorer like interface for easy restore.

But how is the security then? Well, IDrive-E use encryption on your stored files and even on the transfer.

Sounds good so far, but what about their support? IDrive-E is one of the few Online Backup companies who offer free telephone support.

My advice to you is to test their free 2 GB backup plan first and see if you like it. Then go with the unlimited backup plan.

AuctionAds - Have you tried it?

Posted by cyberboy on June 17th, 2007 in Make Money | No Comments

AuctionAds has been launched a few months ago and has been doing pretty good since the release of it’s new program. A total of 17,000+ members has joined with them since their release on March 6, 2007. Here’s a quote coming straight from it’s blog that tells you a little about them.

AuctionAds is a one stop shop for international and domestic website owners. AuctionAds provides a very simple way to let webmasters tap into the extremely lucrative eBay affiliate program without needing any programing skills. Its really as simple as copy and paste.

AuctionAds seems to be a great site to earn money but there is something that everyone must note before joining. The only and most important thing that you should most likely know with all affiliate marketing sites is that you might not earn much if you do not have a good conversion rate. This program really depends on your audience and how well you can get it to convert with your visitors. If a visitor clicks your ads but doesn’t join eBay or doesn’t buy an item from eBay, then you do not earn anything! However, if the visitor does actually buy something or join, then you will receive 100% of the commissions! A minimum earning of $10 needs to be earned in order to receive payout and payouts are sent by check or Paypal. Find out more about AuctionAds!

PayPerPost is a bloggers goldmine

Posted by Simon on June 14th, 2007 in Make Money | No Comments

I have been a member of PayperPost for a few months now. And I can definitely say that it’s one of the best ways to generate an income from if you are a blogger.

With PayPerPost you’ll get paid to blog about all kinds of different things. The good thing is that you are in control. You decide which kind of “opportunities” to take and how to write. It’s that simple.

As I said before I’ve used PayperPost for a few months. But that is not 100% true. It’s true that I have been a member on payPerPost for a few months. But I have only been active with the service a couple of days now and then. This is what I think is the best with PayperPost compared to other services. You just need a few days of posting and you are set for a long time. I actually paid my hosting costs for a whole year with only 6 posts made during a 5 days period. Now I can spend all the other money I make on something else, like new domain names, useful software’s and much more.

So if you are a blogger don’t hesitate to test out PayperPost. Just don’t spam your blog with paid blog posts. Post a few posts now and then and PayperPost will be your next goldmine.

Apple releases Safari 3 for Windows

Posted by Simon on June 14th, 2007 in Internet Browsers | 1 Comment

Safari 3 for Windows

Yesterday Apple released their internet browser Safari for Windows users. That means you, as a webmaster will have an easier time making sure that your website works in all of the major browsers.

Apple also states that their browser is the fastest one available at the moment. Well, I am not so sure about that. I still think Opera is the fastest one. But what does a second do, really? The thing that really matters is how the browsers handle the standards etc.

You can read more about Safari and download it over at apple.com/safari (just remember it’s a BETA).

The most successful affiliate program?

Posted by Simon on June 13th, 2007 in Make Money | No Comments

People often ask me which affiliate program has generated the most income for me. I never give them a simple answer and I won’t give you a simple answer here either.

First of all, there is no awesome-good-100%-success-money-making affiliate program. Not a single one. You often have to use several different ones.

Choose an affiliate program that is something you know about. Maybe a service or something you have had some kind of experience of. You need to know what it is you advertise. Also try to keep the affiliate program related to your sites content.

Most affiliate programs works the best when they are new. If the affiliate program has been around for a while the product or service the affiliate program is trying to sell has probably already been advertised enough and is there for well known among people.

Like I’ve said before, don’t get stuck in just one way to generate income. Use several different ways to get money. Those ways can be affiliate programs or contextual programs like AdSense etc.

My most successful affiliate program so far has been Text-Link-Ads.com. I have made over $200 from it. But just because it works the best for me doesn’t mean it works the best for you.
